Bread Recipes Items:

 

2 C cornmeal
1 egg, beaten slightly
1 1/2 C buttermilk
2 Tbsp shortening (melted)
1 C pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking soda

 

Bread Directions for the Chef:

 

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees, and spray 9 inch cake pan or cast iron skillet with non-stick oil. Put your pumpkin and dry ingredients in big bowl and mix them until combined. Add your beaten egg and buttermilk, stirring to combine. Add your melted shortening and stir. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until browned around the edges.

3/4 C cooked oatmeal
1/2 C honey
1/2 C olive oil
1/2 C grated apple
2 C raw, grated zucchini
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tablespoon cinnamon

 

Breads Instructions:

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl combine oatmeal, honey, olive oil, apple, zucchini and vanilla. Beat ingredients until well blended. In a separate bowl, sift flour, salt, baking soda, powder and cinnamon. Stir both bowls of ingredients above together into a new bowl and blend well. Pour mixture into 2 small bread pans. Bake for 1 hour. Allow bread to cool completely on a cooling rack before serving.

Breads Items:

 

2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups white flour
1 ¼ C milk
¼ C sugar
2 ½ teaspoon salt
¼ C margarine or butter
¼ C honey
½ C warm water
2 packages baking yeast
½ C finely chopped apple (peeled)
½ C chopped pecans

 

Breads Instructions for the Chef:

 

Mix the white and whole wheat flour together and set aside. Heat the milk in a small sauce pan but do not boil. Stir in sugar, salt, margarine or butter, and honey and mix. Set aside to cool.

Add ½ cup warm water to a large bowl and stir in the yeast. Add the milk mixture. Then stir in the flour. Batter should be thick but light enough to mix through. Cover with a clean cloth and place in a warm place to rise. The dough should double in size.

Once the dough has risen, fold in the apple and pecan pieces. Lightly grease 18 large muffin cups and spoon the batter into them. Cover and set aside to rise until double. Once doubled again bake at 375F for approximately 20 to 25 minutes until baked through. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.

Note: When setting the dough aside to rise make sure you place it in a warm place (a little warmer than room temperature) and away from any drafts.

What You’ll Need as the Chef:

 

1 ¾ C flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 C margarine
¾ Ccrunchy style peanut butter
2/3 C brown sugar
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup mashed banana

 

Breads Recipes Instructions:

 

Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a medium loaf pan and set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and sift into a large bowl. In a separate bowl add the peanut butter, margarine and sugar and blend together. Add the eggs and blend. Add this mixture to the sifted dry ingredients and mix together but do not over beat. Gently fold in the mashed banana and transfer to baking pan. Bake at 350F for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour or until baked through.

What You’ll Need as the Chef:

 

1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons corn syrup
12 Slices of white bread (crusts trimmed)
1 1/2 cup whole milk
6 Large eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp salt

 

Recipes Directions for the Chef:

 

Combine corn syrup, butter and brown sugar in a saucepan and simmer gently until the sugar melts. Pour this mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×12 inch casserole dish. Place the bread slices over the sugar mixture. In a separate bowl beat together eggs, milk, vanilla and salt. Pour egg mixture over bread. Cover the dish and let stand overnight in refrigerator. The following morning, preheat over to 350F. Uncover the casserole dish and bake for approximately 45 minutes.

* This is a basic french toast recipe that’s very versatile. Try adding slivered almonds into the egg mixture. You can also add sliced strawberries, blueberries or even chocolate chips!

What You’ll Need:

 


4 ripe bananas
1 C of sugar
¾ C of applesauce
2 eggs
2 C of bread flour
½ tsp of salt
1 tsp of vanilla

 

Recipes Directions for the Chef:

 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9” x 5” loaf pan. In a large bowl, slice the bananas and use an electric mixer to mash. Add the sugar and blend. Let mixture stand for 15 minutes. Add applesauce and eggs and mix well. Blend in the remaining ingredients. Pour into the greased loaf pan and bake for 55 minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand again for 10 to 15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

What You’ll Need as the Chef:

 

2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1 egg (beaten)
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup peeled, chopped apples
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl combine flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and cinnamon.  Add melted butter, egg, milk and vanilla. Blend well. Fold in chopped apples, raisins and pecans (if using). Pour batter into a lightly greased loaf pan. Top with chopped pecans (if using). Bake at 350F for approximately 45 minutes or until center is baked through. Cool for 10 minutes in pan before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

1 C fat-free (skim) milk
2 tablespoons low fat margarine, melted
1/4 C fat-free cholesterol-free egg product
1 1/4 C yellow, white or blue cornmeal

1/4 C sugar substitute
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Place milk, egg and melted margarine in a mixing bowl. Beat until well blended. Place dry ingredients into the bowl with the liquid. Blend until flour is moistened being sure not to break up the lumps. Grease your baking pan. Any type of pan will work as long as it is small. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Put cornbread mixture into baking pan. Bake 25 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.

Recipes Ingredients:

 

2 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs (beaten)
1 cups brown sugar
1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin puree
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup fresh or dried cranberries

 

Breads Recipes Directions:

 

In a large bowl combine flour, baking powder, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and salt.  Blend well.  In a separate bowl, combine pumpkin, eggs and oil.  Blend well.  Add pumpkin mixture to flour mixture and stir well.  Fold in the cranberries.  Transfer mixture to two lightly greased loaf pans.  Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for approximately 45 to 55 minutes or until golden and baked through. Cool for 5 minutes in pan before removing to wire rack to cool completely.

Recipes Ingredients for the Chef:

 

1 loaf frozen bread dough, thawed
2/3 cups brown sugar
4 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/3 cup heavy cream
2/3 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 tablespoon milk
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

 

Breads Recipes Directions:

 

Roll dough into a rectangle shape and brush with the melted butter. In a large bowl, combine sugar, cinnamon and chopped nuts then layer over dough. Then starting with the long end, roll the dough up into a log. Moisten edges with a little water to seal.

Then cut roll into slices. Place rolls into lightly buttered cake pans and set aside at room temperature. Allow to rise for approximately 1 ½ hours (dough will have doubled). Finally pour the heavy cream over rolls and bake at 350F for approximately 25 to 30 minutes.

Combine sugar, milk and vanilla and drizzle over rolls during the last 5 minutes of baking.

Recipes Ingredients for the Chef:

 

2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 orange (rind and juice)
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
½ cup chopped walnuts

 

Breads Recipe Instructions:

 

Preheat oven to 350F. Lightly grease a medium sized loaf tin. Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and set aside.

Wash and grate the orange zest into a large bowl. Squeeze the orange juice over the zest. Add 1 cup of boiling water and mix. Add the melted butter or margarine, sugar, beaten egg and vanilla to the bowl and mix together.

Stir this mixture into the dry ingredients and lightly mix (take care not to over mix). Gently fold in the chopped walnuts and transfer to baking pan. Bake at 350F for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour or until baked through.

Recipes Ingredients:

 

3 large eggs
1 2/3 cups milk
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
¼ cup melted butter or margarine

 

Breads Recipe Instructions:

 

Beat the eggs well in a large bowl using an electric mixer. Add the milk. Combine all the dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add to the milk/egg mixture. Mix until just blended and add the melted butter, mix again.

Heat the waffle iron. It will be ready once you a drop of water evaporates on it. Spoon the batter into the waffle iron compartments. Cover and cook until ready (your waffle iron may have a setting to let you know it’s finished) or watch for when it stops steaming.

Remove waffle and keep covered until you finish cooking remaining waffles.

1 cup bread flour
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup rolled oats
1/8 cup wheat germ
2 tablespoons honey
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast

 

Breads Recipe Instructions:

 

This recipe is for a bread machine. If using the bread machine follow directions that came with the machine. To make without a bread machine you will need to place flours, oats wheat germ and yeast in bowl and combine. Add wheat germ, honey, milk, water and butter. Mix together well by using your hands to incorporate all ingredients together. Cover and allow to rise. Place in loaf pan and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for approximately 1 hour or until bread is brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
