Yeah!…Masculine is Back!

Hallelujah…the masculine man is back in style…

Much awaited and long overdue.  The number one, all time epitome of masculine representation of all men on screen, for me has to be Clint Eastwood…

masculine menWho can beat that scowl and squinting eyes, and that perfect tough guy delivery?  It’s just so appealing over say, these new younger leading men/pretty boys, and someone like Orlando Bloom comes to mind first…

And don’t kill me over this, because I am “Team Edward”, but Robert Pattinson too…

masculine menLo and behold there is a new, young Clint Eastwood masculine man on my new, favorite TV show, “Justified”.  If you haven’t watched it, it’s wildly and unexpectedly entertaining, and rich with colorful characters, set in Kentucky(not the usual place).  And what a treat Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens is, played by Timothy Olyphant…thank you Timothy;)…

Maybe because I’m tall(with heels to boot), somewhat athletic and approaching getting older, I just don’t want to be more masculine than the leading man I’m watching.  Am I the only one on this masculinity bias?

Betina here: I love the masculine male and am celebrating his return! My favorite is Tom Selleck and I was thrilled when I saw his return on “Blue Bloods”.

Courtney: Oh, I completely forgot about Tom Selleck! I’m going to have to check out Blue Bloods. I should have included Jake Gyllenhaal on my pretty boy list…he just escaped me, but Daniel Craig(new James Bond) is another to celebrate!

Definitely! I like my men to look like men. Even when I was a pre-teen and I was “supposed” to like all those pretty blond boys. Give me a five o’clock shadowed, tall dark and handsome, baritoned drink of water any day. 🙂

I agree for the most part, but for some reason, I love me some Orlando Bloom. :). And I hear you on the pre-menopause. I’m pretty sure I’m going through it right now. Luckily, I have an extremely masculine man, who passed on his big, huge, strong muscles to my daughter. LOL She’ll need a big masculine man too! Thanks for stopping by my blog and joining the hop! Have a great weekend!!!! I’m following you guys now.

Yah, Orlando was okay in Lord of the Rings, but his pretty face just came to me first, and just look at those perfect features of his! Thanks for the follow, and hopefully now with the new trend, there will be more pickings for you daughter;)!
